The RC4-FlexTX is the top-of-the-line RC4 system controller. On the outside it provides the same familiar user-interface found on the TX32D. On the inside is a vastly more powerful flash-programmable microprocessor.

Voltage Reference Dimming

The world is full of batteries. You probably have some of them — 9.6V, 14.4V and 18V power tool batteries; 12V Gel Cel batteries; car, truck, marine, and motorcycle batteries.

RC4 Voltage Reference Dimming (VRD) lets you select the output voltage you need, even when your source voltage is higher. Use 18V batteries with 12V lamps, or 6V lamps with 9.6V batteries. Programmable in 0.1V increments up to 24V. Output stays steady even as battery voltage decays, as long as the battery voltage is higher than the selected VRD reference voltage.

Digital Persistence

Sometimes LEDs are too fast. They can look too harsh and quantized when dimming. Digital Persistence (DP) adds warmth to LEDs by ramping them in and out with a curve that mimics the responsiveness of an incandescent filament. Using the full 1328-step resolution of RC4 dimmers, with 32 user-selectable DP curves for various persistence periods, the results are breathtaking.

12 Automation Inputs

Eight 256-step linear CV inputs plus four CV switch inputs keep automation functions off the lighting console. It’s like having two wireless systems in one. CV inputs are ideal for interfacing to an automation system or custom-built control panels with any combination of rotary controls, sliders, or switches.

“FlexTX systems run day and night. At the American Airlines Center on 42nd Street. At the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. In all three theaters of The Shaw Festival. In Cirque du Soleil shows. This top-of-the-line RC4 system is proven in the most demanding situations across North America.”

Four times more channels than the TX32D.

Advanced features support the latest battery and LED technologies. Voltage Reference Dimming and Digital Persistence are available only with the RC4-FlexTX.

Expanded status information includes receiver temperature, and improved battery voltage precision over a wider voltage range.

Map any DMX or CV input
to any dimmer.

Check battery voltage — and more —
for any receiver at any time.

Voltage Reference Dimming lets you
set the voltage limit for each dimmer,
regardless of source battery voltage.

Digital Persistence gives new warmth
and smoothness to LED light sources.

The clean and simple back panel provides
DMX and CV inputs. Power supply input is
world-voltage AC85V to AC265V.

The RC4 system is not wireless DMX.
RC4 is the power of wireless.
